I have had the privilege of photographing quite a few newborns lately (they’ll be up on the blog as soon as possible!), and this family really inspired me! They decided to keep their baby girl’s hospital wrist tag on so that I could take a few frames of her with it still on. Then, her beautiful (and slightly misty-eyed) moma snipped it off and we continued on with the rest of the shoot. I was so inspired because I had never thought of this before! I love it because it was sort of like the baby’s first rite of passage after coming home. Maybe her hospital tag will be kept and scrapbooked, but if not, this family will have photographs of it.
